Description Matthew Flint 2009-07-14 12:14:28 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.2.2)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

If a digiKam tag is added to a photo, then the tag name is correctly added to the EXIF information for the photo.

But if the digiKam tag is renamed (in my case, to correct a spelling mistake) the EXIF information for all tagged photos is not changed.

I expected the EXIF information to be changed if the digiKam tagname is changed.

Not immediately, because tags can be shared to a lots of photos from collections.

Just use Tools/Sync Metadata Database menu entry.

Update: tool is named "Write metadata to images" in 1.0.
You can easily set up a search for all images containing the tag and apply this tool.
It's not done automatically atm.
