Description Andrey Borzenkov 2009-07-13 20:17:15 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.2.96)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Mandriva RPMs

In Russian settings menu for every widget looks like "Widget Name" "Settings" where "Widget Name" is (usually) translated and "Settings" is literal English word Settings.

The correct from should obviously be equiv. of "Settings of Widget Name", where "Widget Name" should also be put in correct declination.

I believe this appeared relatively recently; at some point in 4.3 release cycle. I do not remember this before.

Is it a matter of word puzzles? In that case it is not an i18n bug rather a core bug. A screenshot would be useful.

See attached. The correct one would obviously be "Настройки индикатора батареи". Or - if proper declination is a problem - at least "Иникатор батареи - настройки". But it needs at least em-dash here; without it it looks ridiculous (even in English).

This is generic problem in every plasma widget.

vanilla kde-l10n-ru in debian has correct translation. please report the bug to kubuntu people, or change the distro.
