Description Milian Wolff 2009-07-13 18:41:51 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.2.96)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

When adding a remote folder via wizard in remote:/ you get the error:
KIOExec: URL "..." is a folder, but a file was expected

This doesn't make any sense, since "remote:/" sole purpose is for adding remote folders...

This error only occurs directly after adding a remote folder (i.e. via fish). The remote folder itself can be accessed just fine afterwards, i.e. the error is a "false positive" (as expected... duh).

This error also appears in several other occasions:
* when typing an remote URL in the Alt+F2 launcher - it prevents from opening the URL.
* when creting a plasma icon that points to the URL - also cannot open the URL.

BTW plasma folder view with remote URL works just fine.

I can't reproduce the problem using KDE SC 4.8 RC1. I guess it has been fixed since this report.
