Description draellme 2009-07-13 12:25:46 UTC
Version: 0.7.1 (using Devel)
OS: OS X
Installed from: Compiled sources

it would be great if marble allowed the export (or copy) of images at a higher resoltion, i.e., more pixels horizontally and vertically. it would be ideal if one could specify the resolution and marble scales it to this (or takes the maximum available if it has already reached the maximum size of the underlying data).
Comment 1 Torsten Rahn 2009-07-13 12:34:17 UTC
Yes, that would certainly be one of the features we'd like to see in one of the next releases -- together with an "Export Map" dialog that allows the user to specify the geometry, the resolution and various other stuff.

This feature has been on our TODO since Marble 0.5 though.

Patches appreciated. If somebody would like to work on this feature please get in touch with me so we can discuss how it should get implemented from the user's point of view and how it would ideally get implemented technically.

If nobody volunteers it might take some time until somebody feels motivated enough to take care of this feature ;-)

Right now there are no volunteers for this feature so I assign the 1.0 Milestone to it.

As this request is really old and still not implemented I think it should be set on the list for the next Google Code-in experience or GSoC.
