Description Dotan Cohen 2009-07-13 11:14:32 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.2.96)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

Spouses (usually) have the same wedding anniversary, home phone number, and home addresses. It would be nice to link that info from one contact to another, so that the data is only in one place. This has several advantages:
1) The data only has to be updated once, should a phone number or mailing address change.
2) Instead of two entries for Anniversary in KOrganizer, there can be one entry for both partners.
3) This prevents ambiguity in situations where only one partner's information had been updated but not the other's.

The development of the old KAddressBook will be discontinued for KDE 4.4.
Since the new application has the same name, but a completly new code base we close all bug reports against the old version and ask the submitters to resend there reports against the new product.
