Description John Wheaton 2009-07-12 20:33:19 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.2.2)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

I have tried configuring a number of kontact to-do reminders and none of them display the pop-up notification to me when I set it to do so.

kontact 4:4.2.2-0ubuntu1
kontact 1.4.2

Linux 2.6.28-13-generic #45-Ubuntu SMP Tue Jun 30 22:12:12 UTC 2009 x86_64 GNU/Linux

Check if korgac is running.

Check if you're setting against due date or start date. Does the to-do have start date and due date?

Cheers.

I have retested setting both the start and the due date. I also check the "Time associated" to set a specific time.

I think an update in the interim has fixed this as I now get a reminder. These are exactly the same settings I used when the original issue happened.

HOWEVER, I now get an error message every time I setup or change a task:

std.ics
The file [~]/.kde/share/apps/korganizer/std.ics was changed on disk while there were still pending changes in Akonadi. To avoid data loss, a backup of the internal changes has been created at [~]/.kde/share/apps/akonadi_ical_resource_0/std.ics-6

I've scanned the file and it looks safe to attach (i.e., no personal info). Attachment will follow.
