Version: 2.2-SVN (using 4.2.4 (KDE 4.2.4), 4.2.4-2.fc11 Fedora) Compiler: gcc OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.29.5-191.fc11.x86_64 I have an album with a lot of songs (Zelda OoT from zreomusic.com). I tagged all the songs properly but two of the songs are shown as two separate albums. The artist, album, composer, year and genre tags are all the same (copy-pasted). I also tried a restart of amarok: didn't help. I'll attach a screenshot to illustrate the problem. I currently use amarok 2.2-SVN at revision 994776.
Created attachment 35236 [details] two songs that should be part of another album are shown in their own separate albums
Currently I'm using revision 995463 and looked into the collection browser again. Now the all files are in one album named "Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time". However, there are still two other albums of exactly the same name. When I filter the collection for "Item Catch" I find the right song but a empty album is also displayed. Also the song "Medal Get Fanfare" is not shown at all. When I filter the collection for "Medal" I get an empty "Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time" album. I think my database ist totally messed up. I try to rescan the music library.
Ok, now amaroks collection browser displays even less songs. I guess I have to delete the mysqle database again. :( Yeah, this fixed it.
This is due to the broken tag dialog, but the full scan works well. As we already have others bug report about tag dialog, shall we close this bug ? -Simon
This is indeed a duplicate. Also, there are very slight differences in the tags that might well cause this. Martin, try tagging this with an external application like kid3 or easytag. And we switched to GIT since, does this still happen with a current git pull? *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 192957 ***
Duped to wrong bug.
Oops, sorry, that was a typo :( *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 192057 ***
