Description SlashDevDsp 2009-07-09 16:50:11 UTC
Version:            (using Devel)
Compiler:          g++ 4.3
OS:                Linux
Installed from:    Compiled sources

1. unlocked widgets
2. moved the taskmanger widget out from the panel to the desktop
3. now if i click on any of the windows displayed in the task manager it correctly selects the window, but clicking on it again does not minimise the application selected, but it does minimise when the task manager is in the panel containment? is this the appropriate behaviour? I would expect the application to minimise to the task manager.

the desktop widget takes focus when clicked, so the window is no longer the active window and will become activated again post-click. not an easy one to fix as long as the desktop can take focus (which is pretty well has to)

Confirmed in KDE SC 4.5 Beta 1.

Hello!

This bug report was filed for KDE Plasma 4, which reached end-of-support status in August 2015. KDE Plasma 5's desktop shell has been almost completely rewritten for better performance and usability, so it is likely that this bug is already resolved in Plasma 5.

Accordingly, we hope you understand why we must close this bug report. If the issue described here is still present in KDE Plasma 5.12 or later, please feel free to open a new ticket in the "plasmashell" product after reading https://community.kde.org/Get_Involved/Bug_Reporting

If you would like to get involved in KDE's bug triaging effort so that future mass bug closes like this are less likely, please read https://community.kde.org/Get_Involved#Bug_Triaging

Thanks for your understanding!

Nate Graham
