Description jack 2009-07-09 12:02:07 UTC
Version: 1.4.2 (using KDE 4.2.2)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

Journal entries using templates are deleted when OK is clicked to add it and you navigate away to another date.

To replicate:

In kontact, click the 'journal' icon on the left hand side.

select a date on the calendar and click new journal.

Click manage templates, click to highlight a template, and click apply template.

Enter some extra text if you want or just leave it with the preformatted template.

Click OK.

Click on another date.

Click back on the date for which you just created a journal.

Its gone - no trace that it ever existed.

I suppose that this could be a 'feature', but it seems like a bug to me. When you click OK you can see the entry in the window on the right which makes you think that its there, but click away to another date and its deleted.

I've been making journal entries for a week now and just realised that they've all been lost in this way.

Thats the bug, hope this helps to fix it.

I can't reproduce this bug in trunk.

Can anyone else verify this bug in a more recent version of KOrganizer?
