Version: (using KDE 4.2.4) Compiler: gcc 4.3.2 OS: Linux Installed from: Mandriva RPMs Dolphin uses "panels in tabs" conception now. It's not usable because no drag&drop allowed from one tab to another. "Tabs in panels" is better conception. It allows to change tab and after that drag&drop.
Do you mean like konsole on KDE 4?
Yes, this old konqueror conception is great
I've wrote "konsole", not "konqueror", they behave differently. :-)
I see, but I really don't feel difference between konqueror 3, konqueror 4 and konsole 4 conception, may be there is some nuance, but in general they're equal
I do prefer panels in tabs. you can open second panel in a tab and drag files there if you want.
Resetting assignee to default as per bug #305719
Hmm, I cannot really understand your problem. Dolphin allows dragging files between tabs, and the tabs are inside a panel (the main one), so I think your wish is fulfilled?

The reporter means something like the "Krusader" behaviour: having tabs inside each panel. If you hold on a tab label in the destination panel (while dragging) the tab is set active. If the destination panel (with tabs) is not the starting one you can still see the original directory so you don't loose the initial focus. Tabs inside panel is a nice feature but I don't think the use case is so common.
Okay, thanks @FiNeX for the explanation :) I'll set this to confirmed now, even though this is probably not a very high priority wish.
