Description Jonathan Callen 2009-07-03 17:46:18 UTC
Version: (using Devel)
Installed from: Compiled sources

On Gentoo, kmail sometimes fails to build with -j#, where # > 1, due to incompletely specified dependencies. The error received looks like:

make[2]: *** No rule to make target `kmail/org.kde.kmail.kmail.xml', needed by `kontact/plugins/kmail/kmailinterface.cpp'. Stop.

This does not appear to be a downstream bug, but there is a bug report on Gentoo's bug tracker for this, at <https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=276377>.

Bugzilla is not the place to discuss about compilation errors. Try IRC or the kde-pim mailing list.

Can we please reopen this? The problem persists with every version up to 4.4.0
