Version: (using KDE 4.2.2) OS: Linux Installed from: Mandriva RPMs I find running kfmclient openProfile filemanagement as root very useful at times. It does work but has an annoying aspect. After you log into the KDE GUI, it will run the first time. If you leave it unattended for a short time you will loose root permissions but also you will not be able to reopen as root unless you restart the KDE GUI. If you try to restart from a kconsole window when logged on as root you will get a series of errors. I can provide a print out of the errors if desired, but the failure is consistent even after today's Mandriva patches. All that said, Nice desktop. Cheers, Ken
