Version: 4.2.95 (using KDE 4.2.90) OS: Linux Installed from: Fedora RPMs When there is panel on the top of the screen, it starts flickering after lock widgets and unlock widgets. Probably some collision with "the thing" in the right top corner with desktop control menu. Steps to reproduce: 1) add top panel ("the thing" is moved down below that new panel) 2) lock widgets ("the thing" is moved back to the corner) 3) unlock widgets -> panel is flickering additional info: it works if panel is set with fixed (min=max) width its broken only if is set as flexible (min=anything, max=whole screen width) I'm using dualhead, second lcd on the right side of the first one
the "(using KDE 4.2.90)" is there because bugzilla does not offer 4.3.rc1 version for selection
and I've just find out the problem is even worse when I try to add top panel to second screen, it's flickering from the beginning, no need to lock+unlock. It seems to me this is little bit different, but still the same bug. Please tell me if you want separate bug filled.
related, dup? https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=198521
yes, it's dupe, but it mentions only second part of problem (second screen top panel), not first part (first screen top panel and lock, unlock widgets). Both parts are (probably) caused by interaction with "the thing" in right top corner

For me it works. I am using KDE 4.3.4 with Qt 4.5.3. But I should add that I use only one screen not two. So it seems that this bug is related to dual screen systems.
Do you reproduce with kde 4.4.4 or 4.5 beta ?
