My code is on thread 0 and dormant when this happens, so I am rather mystified. I do not have any crashes in the sound code here. Perhaps you have somehow built with different, competing sound systems. During development, I have been building with KDE's Phonon and specifically exclude Qt's Phonon from the Qt library, using instructions at http://websvn.kde.org/trunk/qt-copy/README.qt-copy?revision=987575&view=markup

More specifically, could you run the game using "kgoldrunner 2>log &"? Then if it crashes again, send me the log file privately. I might be able to figure out from the log messages what sounds are being played. If, say, it is too many sounds at once, there is a chance to modify the KGoldrunner code to avoid over-stressing the library. I am just guessing here.
