In KMail 1.11.2 the background of the lines of the messages list are alternatingly white/blue.
I find that quite annoying.

I request an option to display the messages list with a white background and not that white/blue/white/blue... thing.

Alternating background in list views is a standard KDE thing.
You can change the color for the in the system settings.

systemsettings->Appearance->Colors->Colors->View>Alternate Background:
I changed it first to complete white. But then in konqueror file browser it is harder to detect the size and date of a short file name.
So I changed the Alternate Background to a very light blue (Red:247, Green:247, Blue:255). That way I can still figure out in konqueror file browser size and dates and the message list of my kmail now no longer has that aggressively alternating background color.
