Description Clemens Eisserer 2009-07-01 02:10:16 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.2.90)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Fedora RPMs

On my system I see random corruptions caused by plasma popups.
The popup's shape distorts a window on a random position, so that plasma's background shines through the window.
Happens a few times a week, however I haven't found a reliable way to reproduce the artifacts.

I saw this corruptions on Fedora-11 (KDE-4.2, intel-2.7, xorg-1.6), and now on Rawhide (KDE-4.2.90, intel-2.8pre, xorg-1.7-pre).

It happens with both intel and vesa driver, so I don't think its driver related. So either this is a Xorg bug, or a kwin or plasma bug.

This is clearly a Xorg bug, I was able to write a xlib-only testcas (as I was asked for), but then nothing happend.
