Description Frank Niethardt 2009-06-28 17:16:44 UTC
Version: 1.12.0 (KDE 4.2.95) (using Devel)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Compiled sources

I have my eMail sorted with newest dates last. In kde 4.2.4 when I delete one mail after another in the message list, then I always see at least one email below the mail which is focused.

In KDE 4.2.95 this isn't the case. When you delete an eMail, the focus is set to the next eMail, moving the messages above the pointer one line down. If you do this often enough then the pointer will be in the last line, although there are eMails below in the list. You just can't see them until you scroll down.

IMHO there should be at least one message below the pointer (or, if you sorted with newest on top, on message above) while deleting.

This may be the same bug reported in #220297 and #236987

Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report.

KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2.

We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback.

It is unlikely to be valid in the Qt5 port or in the current version? It is still valid in 4.14.1 (Kubuntu packages) and I don't think this is something that will get fixed only by porting the code to Qt5.
