Description Dotan Cohen 2009-06-27 13:13:55 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.2.90)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

Configuration: Sticky keys are enabled, Caps Lock key is used to change keyboard layout (English / Hebrew). Therefore, there is no effective Caps Lock key to press accidentally!

In KDE 4.3 beta (was not present in KDE 4.2) often I find that in English typing all characters produced are upper case, and pressing the shift key makes them lower case. I must disable and then reenable sticky keys to restore proper keyboard function. Note that Hebrew typing is fine, only English typing is affected. When the problem occurs the Caps Lock LED is not lit, and the Keyboard Status Applet shows that no accelerator keys are pressed.

Is this bug still reproducible with a recent KDE version?

I'm not sure if this bug was fixed, I've since changed CapsLock to Esc. Closing. Thank you for your diligence, Chris.
