Version: (using KDE 4.2.90) Installed from: SuSE RPMs Ugg, After activating spamassassin, you can no longer add a message filter and apply it to your inbox without "Apply all filters" applying all the spam filters as well. This takes forever when all you want to do is apply a newly created mailing list filter :-( This brings to light two very big short-comings in kmail. (1) In the configure filters dialog there should be an "Apply to Folder" button that allows you to apply the new filter (or any filter) to the inbox (or any other folder) by selecting the filter desired and then choosing the folder from a drop-down list like you can in thunderbird; (2) In the right-click context menu, there should be separate items for "Apply Message Filters" and "Apply Spam Filters" so they can be applied to selected messages in the inbox (or any other folder) I had ~600 messages in my inbox and added a simple filter to pick up ~20 messages and move them to a new folder. I started it before I started this bug report -- it's still running....
Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report. KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2. We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback.
