Please post the version of packagekit-qt, packagekit and KpackageKit.
This is probably an incompatibility found on Fedora that just needs to update both packagekit and Kpackagekit.

rpm -q kpackagekit PackageKit

should return the following

kpackagekit-0.4.1.1-1.fc11
PackageKit-0.4.8-1.fc11

If not please  "yum update" to get the current versions.

Indeed, that seems to be the case, I had:

kpackagekit-0.4.0-7.fc11.i586
PackageKit-0.4.8-1.fc11

Will see if that solves it.
