Description Marc Schiffbauer 2009-06-25 11:51:47 UTC
Version: 4.2.91 (using Devel)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Compiled sources

I just tried to print http://www.google.de to test if printing works at all.

The result is funny:

konqui printed several pages with the following content:

page 1: Page header, google "top bar" (With links to mas, images, etc) and the google logo
page 2: the search field (only!!)
page 3: the button "Google-Suche"
page 4: the Button "Auf gut Glück!"
page 5: one Radio-Button "Das Web"
... and so on

Every piece is on the correct location of the page, so if I put all pages to pile I hold that pile into the light I can see the gogle page...

Whats going on here?

Printing from Konqueror is still broken in KDE 4.3.85

Firefox and for example okular work fine here by the way.

Is really nobody using konqueror to ever print a webpage?

This bug is still present in KDE 4.4.0 (RC3)

Printing in konqeuror totally borked.

Update:

When using the Webkit kpart it works perfectly!

But when using khtml kpart it is still broken, but differerent: its not wasting so much paper anymore: most parts of the page are printed ok, but the google logo image is missing on the paper.

Yes, this happens here too with konqueror and kmail/kontact.
I'm using kmail/kontact version 4.4.7 and the rest is kde version 4.5.3.

I like to print important pages (flight tickets or hotel vouchers) and there is always a lot of text missing between the last line of a page and the first line of the next page.

Now I have to use rekonq or firefox when I want to print a webpage.
