Description Fiable.biz 2009-06-25 11:48:38 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.2.2)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Mandriva RPMs

I use 4 layouts : French, Mongolian, Greek and US. I use the French and Mongolian ones always, the 2 other ones from time to time (The US one several times a day, the Greek one a few hours once a week.). I've always to include a word in Latin script (proper name, Unix command etc.) into a text I'm writing in Mongolian Cyrillic. But the order the layouts pass by switching is fixed. I go directly by Ctrl+Alt+K from French to Mongolian, but I had to go through US and Greek layouts to switch from Mongolian to French. Every 3 minutes. This is irritating.
A better behaviour would be the one of the windows switcher Alt+Tab: the order is "Last used first". So, by Alt+Tab, one goes directly to the window he comes, if one doesn't want, then to the window he came from just before that, and this is more likely where one wants to go. (This is the same idea of the cache memory: "The data you want is probably the same you just wanted.")

This seems to be the same request for "cycling" layouts as 174134.
