This could be related to bug 212701.. Regards
From bug 213438: --- What I was doing when the application crashed: I selected two bugfixes and pressed "OK". Kpackagekit downloaded those bugfixes, but then crashed, before installing the updates. --- From bug 213532: --- What I was doing when the application crashed: I had the update notifyer. opened it, updated again, clicked apply and kpackgekit crashed. --- From bug 214046: --- What I was doing when the application crashed: Crashes when apply updates is pressed. Log indicates that updates were installed. This is the second time this has happened for me, so I don't think it's related to the packages.

From bug 215357: --- What I was doing when the application crashed: Repeatable, but only started happening today. Selected two reccomended updates. There were 5 updates that were restricted, and not going to be installed. I checked the "+" button, then 'apply'. As soon as "apply' is pressed, the installer crashes. I refreshed and re-tried, and selected 'OK' as opposed to 'apply'. Same crash.

From bug 218081: --- What I was doing when the application crashed: I selected all updates and clicked ok, it seemed to begin the download and it crashes. From bug 217922: --- What I was doing when the application crashed: Five updates were presented. I pressed "Select all updates" and all five were selected. I then pressed "OK" and saw some popups fly by followed by the crash notification. I am not clear whether the actual installation had begun before the crash occurred.

From bug 220765: --- What I was doing when the application crashed: After getting a notification about new updates being available, clicking it to open KPackageKit, clicking "Select all updates" and clicking "OK" (or was it "Apply"? can't remember), the front end segfaulted but the update continued to run in the background and, apparently, finished successfully some minutes later.

From bug 221639: --- Open KpackageKit, press select All updates, press OK button. Produces only in this sequence. If press apply button, not OK button, krush will not happen.

This bug is a duplicate of another one which I don't remember right now, the fact is that clicking OK crashes KPK and APPLY don't, I fixed that bug in newer versions and removed the OK button to look like SystemSettings, So if some packager want 0.4.x versions fixed just patch KPackageKit.cpp that has a code to hide the OK button, It will be enough.
