Seems to crash on gphoto2 initialization.
Recommend to check you have the latest stable version of the gphoto2 package installed.

Tried uninstalling gphoto2 libs and re-installing , still crashes.
gtkam works OK if run from the command line. [ has always ].
The version of gphoto libraries is 2.4.4 .

Thanks for the advise , if you do not believe this is a digikam issue , then I
just rebuild my system on another machine to test.

Thanks

Peter.

Comment 5 Marcel Wiesweg 2009-06-24 10:30:21 UTC
What you could try is installing debug info for digikam, if you look at #15-#17 in Thread 2 this is where digikam code would fit in but there is no info.
It may be that there is a problem in the way we use gphoto2, given it works well with other apps.
Comment 6 Nicolas L. 2009-07-16 23:50:02 UTC
peter, can you test to update to latest digikam ( from mandriva main/testing repository) and tell if this still crashes ?
Comment 7 Peter 2009-08-28 20:11:02 UTC
Sorry for the late reply,

I found that my problem was due to a new version of ltdl , once I removed this
form /usr/local/lib , digikam started to work fine.

Thanks for your help

Regards

Peter.
