I use it inside KWord. The program reports an error and my fax modem does nothing at all. There is no problem if I login as the root !! The problem solved with user manager (Administration - Users and Groups) and some changes to the Selinux Administration (Boolean).
KDEPrint is obsolete, unmaintained and will never be revived. Closing all open bugs.
