Description Birger 2009-06-21 14:47:09 UTC
Application that crashed: kwin
Version of the application: 4.2.90 (KDE 4.2.90 (KDE 4.3 Beta2)) "release 138"
KDE Version: 4.2.90 (KDE 4.2.90 (KDE 4.3 Beta2)) "release 138"
Qt Version: 4.5.1
Operating System: Linux 2.6.27.23-0.1-default i686
Distribution: "openSUSE 11.1 (i586)"

What I was doing when the application crashed:
I clicked on the Playwolf-Plasmoid and suddenly Plasma crashed. It cannot be restartet: alt+F2 -> Plasma -> no programm appears. All the other programs works (e. g. amarok, ktorrent...) but I have to restart to get the desktop back.

I am confused. You talk about a Plasma crash, but the backtrace is about kwin and the backtrace tells me, that you were using alt+tab when kwin crashed.

In 4.3 you have to restart Plasma with "plasma-desktop" in Krunner. There is no autocompletion for Plasma Desktop.
Comment 2 Martin Flöser 2009-07-12 15:19:12 UTC
It's still not clear what exactly was done when the crash happened. The backtrace does not fit to the description how to reproduce.
