Version: 1.11.4 (using 4.2.4 (KDE 4.2.4), Kubuntu packages) Compiler: cc OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.28-11-generic There is one annoying thing I have to do all the time: Mark all mails as read in my trash folder. I often delete mails en block from my inbox which makes all the mails between the first and last selected mail stay read when deleted. It would be nice if KMail had a feature to mark all mails as read once they are moved to the Trash folder.

Very needs this feature. Maybe I can solve this problem via mail filters in Kmail2?
I would not like KMail to change Trash's email's state. I would want Trash to not show unread count. Trash is folder and I am not sure why anybody would want to change email's state en masse. I use GMail and GMail deletes email permanently after 30 days in Trash folder. The problem I have is unread count which isn't at all helpful. This info is not at all usable. It should be hidden.
(In reply to donniezazen from comment #4) > I would not like KMail to change Trash's email's state. I would want Trash > to not show unread count. That would work for me too.
The option to not act on or notify about unread mail in the trash folder is already available: Select the trash folder - Folder Properties - General Ensure that the "Act on new/unread mail in this folder" is turned off
