Description Constantin Berzan 2009-06-15 12:47:01 UTC
Version:            (using KDE 4.2.90)
Installed from:    Ubuntu Packages

Konsole has a very neat feature, where Ctrl+Alt+drag lets one select a rectangle of text (instead of being restricted to selecting entire lines). This feature has stopped working for me in KDE 4.3beta2. I have first noticed the problem on the alternative screen (the one used for less, vim etc.), but now I see that it affects the normal screen as well.

The behaviour I see is as follows:
* ctrl+alt+very_fast_drag starts a rectangle select, but then it gets stuck and stops following the mouse;
* ctrl+alt+normal_speed_drag does not start a rectangle selection at all.

In 4.2 rectangle selection was working perfectly both in the normal and in the alternative screen. It would be great if this feature were brought back :) Thanks for the great work on Konsole for KDE4!

Seems to have been a side-effect of running Konsole for ~7 days on end. Restarted Konsole and everything works fine. Sorry for the noise!
