Description Leon Maurer 2009-06-14 18:31:14 UTC
Application that crashed: plasma-desktop
Version of the application: 0.3
KDE Version: 4.2.90 (KDE 4.2.90 (KDE 4.3 Beta2))
Qt Version: 4.5.0
Operating System: Linux 2.6.29-02062903-generic x86_64
Distribution: Ubuntu 9.04

What I was doing when the application crashed:
Several ineractions with the LCD Weather Station Setting window causes a crash, including:

-Selecting the data source (specifically changing it from BBC to NOAA)
-pasting in the location (I think this is what caused it once)
-Hitting the search button after a location has been entered (usually I can't get this far though)

I think this crash was created by the second, but I don't rememeber now. The first is the most consitantly reproducible for me.

This bug may be a duplicate of or related to bug 189770

Indeed, it looks like bug 189770 but that should be fixed already on beta2. Are all your plasma widgets packages updated ? Thanks
Comment 2 Leon Maurer 2009-06-15 01:10:04 UTC
My plasma plasma-widgets-workspace package states its version as:

4:4.2.90-0ubuntu1~jaunty1~ppa2

Is that package where this widget would be?
Comment 3 Aaron J. Seigo 2009-06-15 05:06:12 UTC
> My plasma plasma-widgets-workspace package states its version as:

the fix was in kdeplasma-addons, not kdebase-workspace.
Comment 4 Aaron J. Seigo 2009-06-15 05:07:13 UTC
also, if you could install the debug packages for kdeplasma-addons, that would give us a clearer backtrace. thanks. :)
Comment 5 Leon Maurer 2009-06-15 05:49:46 UTC
The version of kdeplasma-addons I have installed is:

4:4.2.4-0ubuntu1~jaunty1~ppa2

So would that be the problem? Would a better backtrace still be useful?
Comment 6 Aaron J. Seigo 2009-06-15 09:03:40 UTC
so you still have the 4.2 version of kdeplasma-addons; you need the beta2 version for this problem to be fixed.
