Description Wolfgang Rohdewald 2009-06-13 11:37:15 UTC
Version: Unbekannt (using 4.2.90 (KDE 4.2.90 (KDE 4.3 Beta2)), Kubuntu packages)
Compiler: cc
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.28-11-generic

I started kde 4.3 beta2 this morning, about 5 hours ago. Now after leaving the systm alone for some hours, akonadiserver runs at 100% CPU and a usage of over 4 hours CPU. Sorry, I did not copy that line of htop.

Now, after doing akonadictl start CPU usage is normal. But I get 83652 lines of mostly error messages (enabled all *akonadi* in kdebugdialog). This looks like the resolved bug 193249, but I have 4.3 beta2 which should have the fix I believe.

Most lines look like

[/usr/bin/akonadi_nepomuk_contact_feeder] "/usr/bin/akonadi_nepomuk_contact_feeder(18445)" Error in thread 3046606592 : "org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown - The name org.kde.nepomuk.services.nepomukstorage was not provided by any .service files"

D-Bus event loop bug in Qt 4.5.1, fixed in newer Qt versions.

Well, 100% CPU for 15 hours straight is still a thing 6 years later, with akonadi-1.13.0-16 and qt 4.8.6.

Must be another bug. Probably.
