Description Erik Boritsch 2009-06-13 10:26:54 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.2.90)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Gentoo Packages

I am used to entering long dash (or M-dash or em-dash), anyway, this symbol: "—" by pressing Compose+---
I find myself unable to do so in kde4 or qt4 applications. GTK applications work fine with export GTK_IM_MODULE=xim. I have tried to set QT and KDE im modules to xim, but see no effect. Some compose symbols such as © work, others do not.

OpenSuse's packages work fine, I believe that was a misconfiguration on my side. If someone experiences the same behavior, please reopen the bug. Otherwise resolved.
