Description Malte S. Stretz 2009-06-12 15:27:45 UTC
Version: 1.11.4 (using 4.2.4 (KDE 4.2.4), Kubuntu packages)
Compiler:          cc
OS:                Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.28-11-generic

It would be nice if KMail had a new menu entry:
  File->New->Message from File...
which would (surprise) open a composer window and populate it based on the contents of the MIME-formatted file. I guess this is also possible by using File->Open and store the message in the Drafts folder but thats a bit counter intuitive.

Additionally, the --composer command line switch could get an optional <url> argument.

This feature might sound esoteric, but it would be really useful in combination with 'git format-patch'. The File->New submenu is still quite empty, so an additional entry there wouldn't add much to the already complex KMail menus.

Thank you for your feature request. Kmail1 is currently unmaintained so we are closing all wishes. Please feel free to reopen a feature request for Kmail2 if it has not already been implemented.
Thank you for your understanding.

Instead of creating a new feature request, please confirm here if the wishlist is still valid for kmail2.
