Description Maciej Pilichowski 2009-06-12 07:56:33 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.2.2)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

When you select a file and cut it, in order to show the file was cut, the icon is grayed out. The problem is the change is so subtle that for many icons it is hard to notice the difference, and also for users with some disabilities it is not distinguishable.

Please provide less subtle visual indicator -- gray out icon more and maybe introduce "marching dots" around the icons. This is just an idea, the main point is to provide visual feedback that is visible at first glance.

Hmm, this is probably a style issue if it's an issue at all.
The current stable and trunk dolphin versions make the icon grey where the "default" icon is blue (for folders) and is perfectly noticeable.

Close this bug?

I'd not close this bug, I agree that for some icons the effect is too subtle. Must be fixed in KFilePreviewGenerator from kdelibs.
