Can you reproduce the crash at will ? Does this happen with every feed ? If it doesn't, could you tell us which one causes it? Thanks
I really don't know how did it crash, i mistakenly upgraded kubuntu to 4.3 beta 2 a since then i have crashes more than usual, ill report here if it happens again.
I have had the same problem, using kde-4.2.4. in Gentoo, I can't actually state which feed was being activated as it was working in the background.Application: Akregator (akregator), signal SIGSEGV 0x00007f786f67b451 in nanosleep () from /lib/libc.so.6 Current language: auto; currently c [Current thread is 0 (LWP 14087)] Thread 2 (Thread 0x7f785e677910 (LWP 14311)): #0 0x00007f786f6a57a2 in select () from /lib/libc.so.6 #1 0x00007f78714357b5 in QProcessManager::run (this=0xfa1600) at io/qprocess_unix.cpp:305 #2 0x00007f787137f729 in QThreadPrivate::start (arg=0xfa1600) at thread/qthread_unix.cpp:189 #3 0x00007f787110f2d7 in start_thread (arg=<value optimized out>) at pthread_create.c:297 #4 0x00007f786f6ac38d in clone () at ../sysdeps/unix/sysv/linux/x86_64/clone.S:112 #5 0x0000000000000000 in ?? @Geoff Madden: Thanks for the detailed information and backtrace. Your backtrace looks more like bug 176917. Could you check if there is some coincidence in the information reported there? Thanks
It does look similar ,in that we were both doing other things at the time. I have since had my system updated a couple of times ,and the problem has not reappeared. Also there was a large listing of files at that time in the categories. As I had not set up a limit on retained subject matter, still have todo that,as I see that it is now a possibility.
Changing the bug status until we get more informations (comment #2) and a useful backtrace.
Dear Bug Submitter, This bug has been in NEEDSINFO status with no change for at least 15 days. Please provide the requested information as soon as possible and set the bug status as REPORTED. Due to regular bug tracker maintenance, if the bug is still in NEEDSINFO status with no change in 30 days the bug will be closed as RESOLVED > WORKSFORME due to lack of needed information. For more information about our bug triaging procedures please read the wiki located here: https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Bug_triaging If you have already provided the requested information, please mark the bug as REPORTED so that the KDE team knows that the bug is ready to be confirmed. Thank you for helping us make KDE software even better for everyone!
considering the time elapsed since the original report, and that many upgrades have been performed, also the problem is not evident at present,it might be more prudent to close this one
Thanks for the update. Thank you for helping us make KDE software even better for everyone!
