Description Benji 2009-06-11 19:32:01 UTC

Digikam is a fantastic app which provides the user with so many options to fine-tune their photos, however in most cases the user would far rather not go into such depth on each photo, but simply fix light/contrast/red eye problems etc, and maybe add some effects. Applications such as Picasa do this very well, and i beleave that including a "quick-fix" dialogue into Digikam, much like that of picasas, along with the more advanced tools, would really improve the app and make it a front-line player.

I think this can be solved when getting the workflow faster by removing
restrictions to click apply/cancel/Ok between different tools. And if possible,
to have possibility to switch photos while same tool is open. So if user has 20
photos on row, just open once the "red eye" and then go just all photos trought
and then switch tool and go again next time if wanted. Or build a batch for
queue manager for more time consuming processing.

for the new version there will be a batch queue manager, but your other suggestion seems to me to be very reasonable - the possibility to have a number of tools open at once, and for a number of photos.

This entry is typically solved to use BQM.
