OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.28-11-generic

When you continue to type in a long line (400 characters definitely does it), typing becomes extremely laggy. Characters often begin to take up to a half second to appear. Going to a new line usually fixes the problem.

This issue is also very prevalent in KMail, which may or may not use the same editor component.
