Version: 1.2.80 (using 4.2.90 (KDE 4.2.90 (KDE 4.3 Beta2)), Kubuntu packages) Compiler: cc OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.30-020630rc6-generic Put "show/hide hidden files" as standard in toolbar and provide icon for it. I really think this is a useful action which should be standard there. If you do not agree, it would be good having at least an icon for this.
Just use Alt+Period (.) for that purpose, a default(!) button would confuse users and the function is easily reachable in the “View”-menu.
agree that a default toolbar button would be wrong. as for the icon: what would you suggest? (maybe the reason it doesn't currently have one is because no can think of anything appropriate...)
Thanks for the suggestion, but it is not planned to make this part of the default toolbar. Regarding the icon: In general I think each action in the toolbar should have an icon (but probably not in the menu) - however this is a general request/wish unrelated to "show/hidden" files. Also we'd need input how such an icon should look like...
FWIW, there is an icon now.
