Version: 1.4.50 (using 4.2.85 (KDE 4.2.85 (KDE 4.3 Beta1)), Kubuntu packages) Compiler: cc OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.30-020630rc6-generic I have a problem with scrolling in Akregator. A bit difficult to explain in English. But I try. When I use the middle mouse button, no matter in which part of Akregator (feed List, article list or an article) scrolling is kind of broken, not the list moves but only a part of the screen (upper, lower part of list). It is restored a few moments after stopping to scroll. The bug does not appear all the time, but when it appears, it remains until the system is rebootet. I am not a programmer, but I think this could be also not a direct problem of Akregator, rather a problem of Upstream (qt or intel graphics driver). I am still reporting this here because may be I am wrong and/or may be you could help to identify where the problem is, so that I can report upstream correctly. Because: Same scrolling in Kmail works perfectly, so may be you use a different technical approach for realising the scrolling. If that is known it may be easier to find it. If my description is not accurate, does anyone know if there is a way to make a video showing parts of the screen. That could show the problem very clear.
I just saw the exact same problem in Kubuntu 14.10 and akregator 4:4.14.1-0ubuntu2. I never saw this bug in any previous Kubuntu/KDE version (since 2006).
This bug has never been confirmed for a KDE PIM version that is based on KDE Frameworks (5.x). Those versions differ significantly from the old 4.x series. Therefore, I plan to close it in around two or three months. In the meantime, it is set to WAITINGFORINFO to give reporters the oportunity to check if it is still valid. As soon as someone confirms it for a recent version (at least 5.1, ideally even more recent), I'll gladly reopen it. Please understand that we lack the manpower to triage bugs reported for versions almost two years beyond their end of life.
Just as announced in my last comment, I close this bug. If you encounter it again in a recent version (at least 5.1 aka 15.12; preferably much more recent), please open a new one unless it already exists. Thank you for all your input.
