Description Andy Stevens 2009-06-07 11:57:54 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.2.2)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

On a fresh installation of Kubuntu 9.04 64-bit (only just finished installing and logged in for the first time), I inadvertently hid the VPN section of in the network manager applet's popup window. So I opened up its settings, ticked the Show VPN connections entry, and clicked OK. The settings were not saved, instead the crash handler appeared requesting to file a report here with the details listed below. I know the settings were not saved, as after things had restarted themselves I opened up the settings window again and the VPN options was still unticked. The only other thing running at the time was Kubuntu's update manager downloading the initial set of patches & updates.

This backtrace appears to be of no use.
This is probably because your packages are built in a way which prevents creation of proper backtraces, or the stack frame was seriously corrupted in the crash.

Is this repeatable? If so, can you follow the instructions below, and give a new backtrace?

http://techbase.kde.org/Development/Tutorials/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports

You want lines 5-7 under "thread 1" to not be empty. (No debugging symbols found) can be deleted.
