Version: 0.70.2 (using KDE 4.2.3) Compiler: gcc 4.4 OS: Linux Installed from: Unlisted Binary Package When I receive a message with ICQ while I was offline, the message is shown with a null byte \000 between every character: "Hi," becomes "^@H^@i^@,^@". Never had the problem with normal, online, messages. Using kdemod packages (Arch Linux).
I can't reproduce, is this still valid? If so what client does the other person use?
I have yet to check with that particular person who usually sends me offline messages (hasn't happened in a while). But that user is using the official ICQ client, not quite sure which version though. I'd say the newest version or slightly older than that.

Dear user, unfortunately Kopete is no longer maintained. Please migrate to another solution, e.g. for Jabber a possibility is Kaidan, for Matrix a candidate is NeoChat.
