Description David Rankin 2009-06-06 22:41:44 UTC
Version: (using Devel)
Installed from: Compiled sources

In kmail -> Settings -> Configure KMail -> Composer -> Standard Templates; pressing "Defaults" to reset the default values places the default values in the template windows for (New, Reply to Sender, etc.), but then pressing OK to exit does NOT cause the defaults to stick.

In order to actually reset the templates to their defaults, you have to click "Defaults", then you have to manually edit something in the template (you can ctrl+z after you make your change) then you can actually hit "Apply" to make the changes stick. If you do not manually edit something, the "Apply" button stays grayed out, and hitting "OK" causes the restored defaults to be lost.

It is like the "changed" flag isn't being set when the "Defaults" button is pressed for templates so that clicking OK never saves anything unless a manual change is made.

Comment 2 David Rankin 2009-06-29 19:01:07 UTC
Does NOT work for me:

Version 4.2.90 (KDE 4.2.90 (KDE 4.3 Beta2)) "release 139"

4.2.90 is rather old. I just crosschecked with 4.2.95 from chakra project. It works as expected.

Please try a newer kmail version.
