Version: 2.1 (using 4.2.4 (KDE 4.2.4), Arch Linux) Compiler: gcc OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.29-ARCH I found out this bug while using Gnome's SoundJuicer to extract music from Audio CDs. SoundJuicer saves the files in ".oga", which is a new extension for ogg audio. While Amarok plays the ".oga" files just fine, it doesn't index them as normal ".ogg" files, so they don't appear in the collection. For reference see: http://www.fabianrodriguez.com/blog/2008/03/12/new-extensions-for-ogg-vorbis-audio-oga-and-ogg-theora-video-ogv-files/ http://wiki.xiph.org/index.php/MIME_Types_and_File_Extensions#.oga_-_audio.2Fogg http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ogg#History http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc5334
Hello. Actually this is a TagLib issue which does not recognise properly .ogg files as ogg vorbis files and then fails to extract the tags which makes in turn Amarok reject the file. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 178602 ***
