Description nick 2009-06-05 00:41:02 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.2.3)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Gentoo Packages

Especially for mailing lists, my use case is:
- read a the first post of a new topic (which marks it as read)
- follow it or not, eventually I decide I don't care about it anymore, and click the [-] to collapse it.
- a new message comes in, and opens the entire thread again
The only way I've found to avert this last step is to right click on the first post and select "ignore thread". This gets old quickly, especially on a high volume list.

Desired use case is quite simply:
- if I ever collapse a thread, it stays collapsed until I expand it.

Another possible addition in combination with this is adding a thread-indicator, since the first message is likely already read, perhaps color the [+] [-] black/blue/red jus like messages to indicate that there is a new/unread message in the thread, even though it is still collapsed.

Thank you for your feature request. Kmail1 is currently unmaintained so we are closing all wishes. Please feel free to reopen a feature request for Kmail2 if it has not already been implemented.
Thank you for your understanding.

Instead of creating a new feature request, please confirm here if the wishlist is still valid for kmail2.
