Description Thomas Bächler 2009-06-04 15:35:08 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.2.4)
Installed from: Unlisted Binary Package

When you add plasma_applet_notes to your screensaver lock screen and someone leaves a note, but knotes is not running, knotes will be launched and an empty note is left.

When knotes is already running (it was started before the screensaver was activated or a note was left before), the note is displayed as expected.

Steps to reproduce:
1) Quit knotes if it is running
2) Add the notes applet to your screensaver
3) Lock the screen
4) Leave two notes
5) Unlock the screen
6) Observe that an empty note arrived, and the second note arrived as typed

I can reproduce this with both KDE 4.2.4 from Arch Linux and the (unofficial?) KDE 4.2.4 packages for SuSE 11.1.

Okay, I screwed up the name of the applet, it seems I actually meant the "leavenote" applet.

KDE 4.3.4, this particular issue is fixed now. There's different problems with it now, but I will have to open a separate bug report about that.
