Description Julien Narboux 2009-06-03 13:18:40 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.2.2)
Installed from: Compiled From Sources

It would be nice if in the preview mode of Digikam, the thumbnail bar would contain no empty space.
For the time being each item in the bar is a square of side L, and each thumbnail is rescaled such that max(width, height)=L
I think it would be nicer if all items had their own aspect ratio depending on the aspect ratio of the thumbnail.
All thumbnails would be rescaled such that the height of the thumbnail is equal to the eight of the thumbnails bar. This means that horizontal panoramic picture would be quite big and vertical panoramas would be small.

I hope model/view separation can allow this.

my 2 cents,

Julien

Probably can but should it? With current system (which is used by all software I know) when user will move mouse it always will move the same number of pictures.
