Recently I switched from kmail to kontact and I noticed that when I open the mail application in contact, my keyboard shortcuts don't work any more. I'd like to have a common shortcut set that works in kontact and in the component applications too, when I run them standalone.

I was just about to file a bug concerning kjots and kontact, but I think we're actually hitting the same bug here.

After starting to use kontact, I changed som shortcuts in the kjots part. However, I noticed that every time I restarted kontacts, those shortcuts were reverted to the defaults. I instead opened kjots itself and changed the shortcut there, and that seemed to stick. 

So the problem seems to be that changed shortcuts aren't saved when the change is done in kontacts.

I'm on 4.3.0, Ubuntu packages.

I can confirm this behavior in Kontact 4.4.10 of KDE 4.6.2 on a Kubuntu 11.04 system.
