Description akbar hidayat 2009-06-01 10:33:33 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.2.3)
OS: Linux
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

I'd like to see dolphin list all of the computer on the network on the "places" bar. If not all, maybe just the computers that I've browse through. Coz its quite in inconvinient if you have to go back again. (sorry for the bad english)

How about adding a network tab instead? Like the folder tab which you can integrate into the left sidebar.

FWIW, macOS Finder has had this for more than a decade without becoming unbearably slow.

The only sane way to do this is to scoop up the network resources discovered by Avahi; we can't reasonably crawl the network every so often. That make this a duplicate of Bug 189693
