Hi, which version of Marble is this?

Looks to me like a case of improper packaging -- Some distributions at some point packaged the plugins together with the application instead of the library. As some of the plugins were essential this lead to crashes.

A workaround is to install the "marble" package in addition to libmarble. The proper fix would be to use packages that have the marble plugins shipped as part of the libmarble package.
