Description Oliver Maurhart 2009-05-31 09:12:13 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.2.3)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Gentoo Packages

Kgpg fails to display any key names and emails in the collapsed view. I have to expand each and every key item in this tree view to find the right one - which is very, very cumbersome if you have a lot of keys to say the least.

Even worse: if I want to encrypt something I may not even expand (context menu in dolphin)! So I really don't know which key I'm choosing. Name and email remains empty!

Yikes! This is a killer and renders KGpg completely useless.

It's the very same found on http://bugs.pardus.org.tr/show_bug.cgi?id=9525

However, I didn't get a clue to come around this problem.

You have three options:
-downgrade to GPG 2.0.9
-wait for 4.2.4
-take the patch from websvn that makes KGpg use --fixed-list-mode
