Description paul 2009-05-30 23:25:31 UTC
Version: 2.0.81 (using KDE 4.2.3)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

Kile crashed unexpectedly whilst it was open in the background. The crash appeared to happen when I launched Firefox, but that could be a coincidence as I've been having a lot of problems with Kile being slow and crashing recently - other LaTeX applications seem fine.

I'm not actually running it within KDE (I use Gnome on Ubuntu Jaunty), but the version reported in About->KDE in Kile is 4.2.2.

I'm afraid I don't know how to reproduce the bug, but I have attached a backtrace in case that is helpful.

Backtrace

This is the backtrace which I was presented with when Kile crashed.

Other information which might be useful:

1. I only had one file open when Kile crashed, and this is around 28KB in size and opens without problems in other LaTeX editors (e.g. Texmaker). No other applications were accessing the file at the time.

2. The only other user application running when Kile crashed was Mozilla Thunderbird.

3. Kile does not appear to crash after a specific amount of time or when any particular application is launched alongside it.
